Impact Investing is steering capital away from critical U.S. industries, limiting access to capital for companies that support U.S. energy independence, second amendment rights and basic American values. Every week a new endowment, bank or fund announces a new Impact Investing strategy that further limits capital flows to essential industries. Freedom Capital seeks to reverse that trend by profitably investing in critical industries that support America’s prosperity, security and freedom.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARLINGTON, VA – April 7, 2016 – Freedom Capital Investment Management, the nation’s first Impact Investing firm announced Thomas S. Dreyer has joined the team as a Senior Advisor. He will be responsible for leading the implementation of Freedom Capital Corporation’s portfolio management strategy.
“We are delighted to welcome Tom to the Freedom Capital family,” chief executive Jeffrey McClure said. “We have known and worked with Tom for over 20 years and have deep respect for his versatile background and credentials. We greatly value his credit and portfolio management skills as well as his operational and investment skills. He will be a great asset as we implement Freedom Capital’s core mission of profitably investing to enhance prosperity, security and freedom for the U.S. and its allies.”
Mr. Dreyer has spent the majority of his career as a principal and fiduciary managing publicly traded and privately held investments on behalf of institutional and high net worth clients. Mr. Dreyer began his investment management career with LaSalle Partners in 1988. Mr. Dreyer was a co-founder of FBR Capital Market’s real estate investment-banking group in 1994 and was involved in over $2 billion in capital markets and advisory transactions.
Mr. Dreyer founded and managed Trilogy Capital Advisors, a $100 million U.S. based hedge fund manager in 1999. In 2006, Mr. Dreyer returned to FBR as a Managing Director prior to founding Sino/US Holdings a U.S. based private equity holding company where he serves as Chairman and CEO. Mr. Dreyer Graduated from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in 1988.
“I’m excited to be working with Freedom Capital,” Mr. Dreyer said. “American Impact investing is not only good for the country, it represents an opportunity to develop a contrarian portfolio at attractive entry points as divestment movements and the $6.57 trillion socially responsible investing movement deprives important industries of capital. I’ve known and had a great deal of respect for the founders for many years.”
